What is a Story. And how to tell it.

I was reading this manifesto by Ira Glass today (of This American Life fame). For some reason Ira's way of writing reminds me a bit of John Maeda. I don't know if this is strange or not, or if I am just confounding people that I enjoy reading/hearing in my head. Anyway, the manifesto is good, as are the question/replies. A sweet one was the following:

Anaheed Alani - 12:47am May 18, 2004 EST (#28 of 146)

Dear Mr. Glass,

I enjoy your program.

Is there anyone you've had sex with that your girlfriend doesn't know about?

Sincerely,
A listener

Very clever "Anaheed Alani" ... a.k.a. MY GIRLFRIEND.

The answer's yes. Your momma.
